Summer Kramer, PharmD
As a pharmacist, melanoma survivor, mom & entrepreneur, I’ve learned that one of the most important things in life is self-love. Every life has freckles, but I work hard to love every minute of my freckled life.
I was diagnosed with melanoma at age 26, graduated from pharmacy school at age 28, became a mother at age 30, and founded SUMMERSKIN, a sun protective apparel company, at age 32. Now at age 40, I am more aware of my skin’s health than ever! Hello lovely laugh lines!
Because my amazing 9 year old daughter is a child of a skin cancer survivor, she considers sunscreen her “makeup” and proudly gets ready with me every morning. She reminds me every day about how precious we all are.
My motto in life and in business is to “follow the path of happiness.” Find your people, your style, your passion and embrace them with all your heart.
I’ve had freckles all my life (most likely from my Irish heritage), but they are a very common skin occurrence. Most freckles are nothing to be concerned about, but it is important that we understand why we get freckles and what it means when they show up on our skin.
