Believing Wellness Is A Lifestyle

believing-wellness-is-a-lifestyle

For the past couple of years, I have been spending a lot of my focus on shifting the root of my motivation to self-love rather than self-loathing. I felt as though I had spent my life waiting to motivate myself to improve my health until I was fully disgusted with myself. While self-loathing does work as motivation, I’ve found that it is only a temporary source and that once I began feeling better about myself, I would lose focus and slack off on my healthier habits.

One of my strategies in making this shift in perspective has been to be very aware of why I was feeling motivated. I would take a step back and ask myself if I was wanting to work out or improve my diet because I loved myself or if I was feeling down on how I looked. If I realized that I was beating myself up about something, then I would not allow myself to take action until I was able to shift my perspective. It’s been a long road over the past two years, and I am by no means perfect at this, but it’s been an incredible emotional transformation. The level of confidence and happiness that I have in every little achievement is magnified, because I’m coming from a base of love.

Lifestyle of Love

For this reason, one of the company mottos that I love is Lole’s statement that “We believe wellness is a lifestyle.” I couldn’t agree more. Lifelong wellness is only achievable for me if I build my lifestyle around it and focus on self-love.

When I wear Lole, I am reminded to lead with love and make choices that lead to lifelong lifestyle changes as well. Two of my favorite styles for the Fall/Winter season are the Lamya top and Hester top. If you have picked up on my style, I love pieces that are comfortable, will move with me throughout my hectic days and still make me feel pulled together.

The Lamya Top

This may look like a simple style, but it is so much more. The fabric is incredibly soft, and the fit is looser than a standard long-sleeve, but not so wide that it loses its shape. The dropped shoulder is incredible comfortable and allows for easy movement. So far, I have worn this layered over my yoga gear, and alone with jeans. Check out all the colors available!

The Hester Top

Let me just start by saying that I’m in love with this top. The drape of the fabric is amazing, the fit is so flattering, and I can wear it just about everywhere. The cut of the design is an exaggerated a loose fitting Dolman, and it allows for full range of motion which makes it perfect for dance and yoga. However, I kind of want to wear it every day….is that bad?

Wanted to show you some of the details that make me fall in love with this Hester top.

I love the length and cut of the hem, as it covers all the questionable bits in all the right ways. The color options are also quite pretty. I chose the dark grey option, but I’ve been eyeing the blue as well. Check out all the colors!
