Family Cooking with Raddish Kids

My daughter loves cooking and her skills and autonomy in the kitchen have been increasing this past year. My challenge has been finding recipes that are to her liking, but also easy enough for a 9 year old to follow on her own. We have a few recipes in her cooking section here on the blog, Gwen’s Kitchen, but I’m always looking for new recipes and activities for kids. We heard of Raddish Kids cooking club and loved the concept! While I am not receiving any payment for this post, Raddish Kids did provide one cooking kit to us to try. Raddish Kids provides cooking practice and fun developed specifically for kids with new recipes and activities every month!

Every Raddish Kids Kit Includes:

  • 3 Recipe Guides
  • Quality Kitchen Tool
  • Collectibles — a colorful apron patch and 4 table talk cards.
  • Creative Kitchen Project
  • 3 Culinary Skill Lessons
  • Complete Grocery List

From the images, you can see the wonderful visual guides for kids into the ingredients and cooking instructions. My daughter was able to find all the ingredients and cookware that was needed for the yummy dessert fondue recipe. She was also able to follow all of the instructions with very little input from me.

Being non-dairy, we usually bake vegan. Our caramel Fondue was a little thinner than hoe the recipe may have been designed, but it was still delicious. We paired it with pretzel chips and apple slices for a really nice dessert.

If you are looking for more ways to engage your kids in the kitchen, I highly recommend the Raddish Kids Kit subscription. My daughter loved her Kit and was excited to try to make all three recipes.
