I tend to lean toward a more minimalist style wardrobe. I like my black, white, grey and denim with pops of color. Clean lines and quality tailoring are important to me in the styles I choose. One of the designer brands that I have loved for quite some time is Vince.
While out running errands with my family this weekend, I realized that I was living in one of my vintage Vince sweaters (I call it vintage only because I’ve had it for so long and I can recall which year or season is was from). However, it made me appreciate the quality, the softness and stylish ease. For running errands in Portland, we also always have a rain coat on hand, so you can see that I paired my Vince with skinny denim, wedge booties, my Coach bag and my favorite Columbia trench coat.
We in the pacific northwest learn how to layer, because we live by the old saying “if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.” One of the key aspects to layering is to envision yourself wearing on that layer, and not to use layers that are overly bulk because you never know when you need to throw on that rain coat. My Vince sweater is warm but not overly heavy, and perfect for this cool Fall day. I have found that so many of Vince’s designs are incredibly versatile and functional for everyday life.
Please excuse my wrinkled jeans, but we had an action packed day of errands and fun. (And let’s be honest, it was Sunday and I hadn’t done laundry yet.)
